Wayne Carnegie is a Jamaican‑Canadian Senior Surfacing Artist and award‑winning multidisciplinary creative, born in Spanish Town and raised in McNie, Clarendon.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Advanced Animation from Buckinghamsire New University (UK), blending Caribbean storytelling with technical excellence across 3D animation, illustration, and children’s literature.
Wayne has contributed surfacing work to major productions including The Nut Job, Trollhunters, True and the Rainbow Kingdom, Unicorn Academy, and Super Giant Robot Brothers, helping shape the visual identity of globally recognized animated worlds.
Alongside his studio career, Wayne teaches advanced 3D Surfacing, Compositing, and Game Art at Sheridan College and Seneca Polytechnic, where he’s known for clear, practical, industry‑focused mentorship. His acclaimed short film The Star Boy has earned international recognition, establishing him as a rising voice in Caribbean‑influenced animation.
